Senator Jacky Rosen

Focus: U.S.Senate candidate and Rep. Jacky Rosen

Who’s paying for it: Rosen’s campaign

Size of buy: The ad is backed by the Rosen campaign’s ongoing eight-figure buy

When it starts: Oct. 17

Where it’s running: The Rosen campaign declined to specify which market or markets the ad is running in

The gist: Rosen is pushing back on an ad released by the Senate Leadership Fund, a super PAC aligned with Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, on Tuesday attacking Rosen for votes on two immigration bills. The new ad dismisses the attack as “another spineless lie,” saying that Heller is voted against bipartisan immigration reform, pointing to two votes the Senate took earlier this year. The ad then highlights a fact check showing that although Rosen voted against Kate’s Law, a proposal to increase penalties for undocumented immigrants who are deported and return to the United States, she was one of 11 Democrats who voted for the Criminal Alien Gang Member Removal Act, which made it easier for federal officials to detain and remove gang members. “Jacky Rosen is working across party lines to secure our borders and fix our immigration system,” the ad says. “Dean Heller is trying to win by dividing us.”
