Rosen accepts mid-October debate with Heller
Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Jacky Rosen says she’s accepting a debate with her Republican opponent, Republican incumbent Dean Heller, on Oct. 19.
Looking forward to the debate on October 19 that will be hosted by @8NewsNow, @KTVN and @Univision and will air statewide. There's a clear contrast in this race for U.S. Senate, and I’m ready for a spirited and substantive discussion focused on the issues. #NVSen

The debate will be carried by CBS affiliates KLAS in Las Vegas and KTVN in Reno and by Univision in both markets.
Heller had accepted two debates back in August, including a Reno debate carried by NBC affiliates KRNV in Reno, KSNV in Las Vegas and Telemundo in both markets. The Rosen camp, however, objected to that debate on the grounds that the Sinclair Broadcast Group, which owns both KRNV and KSNV, has donated to the Heller campaign.
The Rosen campaign suggested holding an alternative debate in Reno, hosted instead by local PBS station KNPB or ABC affiliate KOLO.
In 2016, there was only one debate between Democrat Catherine Cortez Masto and Republican Joe Heck in the race to replace outgoing Sen. Harry Reid.
