Several Republican challengers have made six figure loans to their own campaigns, as they try to catch up to the massive war chests of the Democratic incumbents.

Of the seven Nevada-based centers and national hotline that Brown refers women to on his website, none refer for abortions. But most have tabs on their webpages about abortion, listing side effects and sometimes promoting misinformation about long-term effects. Many caution that women who choose to terminate pregnancies are frequently coerced and have regret, anxiety and guilt.

Though somewhat overshadowed by the presidential race, Rosen and Nevada’s three House Democrats have continued to raise money at a similar pace to the 2022 election cycle — a record-setting midterm in Nevada for election spending.

Republican U.S. Senate candidates gathered in Reno Thursday night to debate who among them would be the best challenger to take on Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV) in November — and took shots at the elephant not in the room, front-runner and retired Army Capt. Sam Brown.

A new poll of likely Nevada voters commissioned by the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) shows Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV) narrowly leading potential Republican challenger Sam Brown ahead of her 2024 re-election bid. 

The only incumbent to be outraised by an opponent was Rep. Dina Titus, (D-NV) who saw a Republican opponent, Flemming Larsen, loan his campaign $200,000 of his own funds in the third quarter. Titus reported raising just over $122,000 in the quarter.

Marchant, a prominent election denier and fervent Trump supporter, has framed the race as “MAGA vs. establishment,” a reference to the institutional support for Brown, who has declined to endorse Trump.

Even months out from the election, Bolger noted that this type of early polling “makes it easier for the [leading] candidate to raise money [and] makes it harder for other candidates to raise money and attract support.”

As Democrats have fanned out across the country this summer to sell voters on the president’s agenda a year out from the election, Cabinet members and elected officials have honed in on a specific theme in appearances in Las Vegas — the cost of prescription drugs.

Down the ballot, far-right Republican candidates largely trounced more moderate (and oftentimes better-funded) primary rivals.
