Democratic presidential contender and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders launched a trio of television ads in Nevada on Monday, marking the candidate’s first foray into the advertising race with just over three weeks until the state’s third-in-the-nation nominating contest.

One of the ads, called “Fights for Us,” highlights Sanders’ positions on economic issues, in particular touting his calls to increase the minimum wage and “leading the fight to guarantee health care” over a backdrop of Sanders’ campaign rallies and imagery of working-class jobs.

Another ad, called “For All,” takes aim at a familiar Sanders target: Billionaires. Saying in part that “[our] campaign is funded by the working people of this country,” Sanders flatly criticizes “huge tax breaks for the rich” and calls for, among other things, a guarantee of “healthcare to all people.”

The Sanders campaign is also taking out a third ad in Spanish, touting the immigrant roots of Sanders’ father and saying in part “the story of Bernie Sanders is our story.”

The campaign did not immediately release details on the size of the ad buy, nor details on where or when the ads would run.
