Las Vegas businessman joins GOP field in 3rd Congressional District

Las Vegas real estate agent and small business owner Tiger Helgelien officially announced a bid for Congressional District 3 Monday, joining a handful of Republicans looking to tip the swing district away from one-term Democratic Rep. Susie Lee in 2020.
Former state Treasurer Dan Schwartz and real estate agent Zach WalkerLieb have also announced congressional bids in District 3.
The district is one of two swing districts in the state and has been represented by both Democrats and Republicans since it was created in 2002.
The seat was won by Lee in 2018, following a departure from then-incumbent Jacky Rosen, who left to make a run at incumbent Republican Sen. Dean Heller.
