State Question No. 6

Official Ballot Language

Should the Nevada Constitution be amended to create an individual’s fundamental right to an abortion, without interference by state or local governments, whenever the abortion is performed by a qualified healthcare professional until fetal viability or when necessary to protect the health or life of the pregnant individual at any point during the pregnancy?

What a yes or no vote does

This ballot question would enshrine Nevada's existing abortion law — which permits the procedure through 24 weeks of pregnancy — directly into the state Constitution, shielding it from future legislative or legal challenge. A "yes" vote would make the current 24-week standard part of the Constitution. A "no" vote would leave abortion rights governed by existing statute.

State Question No. 7

Official Ballot Language

Should the Nevada Constitution be amended to require voters to either present photo identification to verify their identity when voting in-person or to provide certain personal information to verify their identity when voting by mail ballot?

What a yes or no vote does

This ballot question would amend the Nevada Constitution to require voters to present a form of government-issued photo identification to verify their identity when voting in person, or to verify their identity using the last four digits of their driver's license or Social Security number when voting by mail. A "yes" vote would add those requirements to show ID when voting into the state Constitution. A "no" vote would leave Nevada's current law in place, which doesn't require ID to vote and instead relies largely on matching a voter's signature on a ballot with one on file.

Washoe County Question No. 1

Official Ballot Language

THIS QUESTION IS ADVISORY AND NON-BINDING: Do you support an annual road use fee on all electric and hybrid passenger vehicles registered in Washoe County, which would be adjusted annually for inflation? These fees are intended to approximate the annual contribution that owners of gasoline powered vehicles pay per year in local fuel taxes to support local transportation infrastructure. The revenue from these fees would be dedicated to the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County subject to annual audits and public disclosure of spending, and the revenue would be used solely for the funding of transportation projects that will reduce traffic congestion, repair and maintain roads, improve air quality, and increase safety.

What a yes or no vote does

This advisory question asks Washoe County voters whether they support an annual road-use fee on electric and hybrid vehicles registered in the county, adjusted yearly for inflation, meant to approximate what owners of gas-powered vehicles already pay in local fuel taxes toward road maintenance. The county's transportation funding relies primarily on fuel taxes, and EV and hybrid owners currently pay little or none of that tax while still using and wearing down the roads. Because this is an advisory question, a “yes” or “no” vote doesn’t create or block the fee directly — only the Legislature can authorize it. A “yes” vote would tell state lawmakers county voters support authorizing such a fee; a “no” vote would signal opposition. If the Legislature eventually authorizes it, revenue would go to the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County for road repair, congestion reduction and air-quality projects, subject to annual audits and public disclosure.
