FACT BRIEF
Fact brief: Does NV Energy's Greenlink project include a data center in Yerington?
No.

The Greenlink transmission line and the Monarch data center campus planned for near Yerington are separate projects.
Greenlink is NV Energy's two-part project. Greenlink West is a 350-mile-long transmission line that will run from Las Vegas to Yerington; it is expected to be in service next year. Greenlink North will be a 235-mile-long transmission line from Yerington to Ely. Originally slated to be operational by 2028, the federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) sided with several groups' protests against the line and remanded portions of the project back to the state BLM office.
Monarch is being developed by Copia Power. Operation of the first phase of the project depends on buildout of utility infrastructure including Greenlink and NV Energy's Walker River Substation.
No data centers are part of Greenlink, although data centers could be powered by it.
