As a non-profit newsroom, we rely on donations to support our work. Some of those donations come from large and influential companies in the state, but many more of them come everyday Nevadans. (Small dollar donors and Supporting Members, we’re extremely grateful for you and hope to add more of you as time goes on!) We take donations from anyone who wants to support reliable, nonpartisan, deeply reported, thoughtful journalism.
As anyone in the state knows, Nevada is a small community. That means occasionally the people we report on will have previously donated to The Indy. We think that’s information that you, as member of the public, have a right to know. That’s why we disclose all of our donors and members on this page, as well as in the news stories in which they are mentioned.
We wish we were a bigger staff. And your memberships and donations will help us get there. But, as a team of just two editors and five reporters, we may occasionally miss a disclosure in a story. If you notice we have done so, please let us know, and we will add it immediately. (We always want our readers to help us be better.)
