Media Partners
As a statewide nonprofit news organization, one of our key organizational tenets is serving the entire state — not just the population centers in Las Vegas and Reno.
That’s why since 2017, we’ve entered into content-sharing partnerships with news organizations throughout the state. It’s a win-win arrangement — they get to publish our excellent content for free, and we know that important stories and news are getting to underserved communities.
It’s well-reported that Nevada’s media landscape is shrinking at an alarming rate. For this industry to survive (and even thrive), collaboration — not competition — is going to be the way of the future.
We have a content-sharing agreement with The Associated Press, which allows us to publish AP journalism on our site, and for the wire service in turn to distribute our stories across their network.
We’re also part of the 19th News Network, and publish fact briefs through our partnership with GigaFact.
This list does not include one-off reporting partnerships, or organizations that make their content free to republish without a formal agreement such as CalMatters, Inside Climate News, KFF Health News and many more.
Below is a list of news organizations that have signed content sharing agreements with The Nevada Independent.
