Transparency is an integral part of The Nevada Independent’s DNA, and while we always strive to be truthful and present facts in a fair and complete manner, we will make mistakes. When it happens, we will work with haste to address the error or clarification in the story, include details on the correction on the story and note it on this running list of corrections and clarifications.

Updated on 10/12/26 at 12:33 p.m. to correct that the changes represented cost hikes, not premium hikes. It was also updated to clarify that retirees eligible for Medicare are not affected, and that the board decreased how much of the state’s subsidies go to retirees.
