You do not currently need to show identification when you vote in person in Nevada if your name appears on the voter list at your polling location.

If you are a first-time voter who did not provide an acceptable form of ID with your registration form, you may be asked to show identification at the polls. Federal law requires new voters to provide their driver's license number or the last four digits of their social security number to register.

To cast a ballot in Nevada, voters must provide their signature, which is compared to the signature on the voter's original application or another form of identification containing the voter's signature.

As of December 2022, 35 states had voter identification requirements in place.

Last month, Nevada Republicans introduced legislation to require voter ID at the polls. It is unlikely to pass given the Democrat-controlled legislature.
