Nineteen Democratic presidential candidates flocked to town this weekend to participate in a labor-focused presidential forum hosted by the public sector workers union.
But the candidates didn’t stop there. California Sen. Kamala Harris and New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker attended services at Victory Missionary Baptist Church. Former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro assembled boxes at a food bank. Former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke folded clothes and vacuumed carpets while shadowing a home care worker. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren hosted town halls. South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg spoke at First Friday in downtown Las Vegas.
At these events and more, Nevada Independent photographers Jeff Scheid and Daniel Clark captured it all. Here are some scenes from the weekend of campaigning in Las Vegas.
