Democratic governors group goes up against Laxalt

Attorney General Adam Laxalt isn't formally in the governor's race yet, but the Democratic Governor's Association isn't waiting for the announcement.
The group is launching digital video ads on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube starting Wednesday pounding Laxalt for not taking a position on the GOP's health care efforts in DC. "Tell Adam Laxalt to end his silence," the ad says, alongside a picture of the attorney general, not coincidentally I'd bet, wearing a Ted Cruz for president button.
Laxalt, of course, has not announced yet partly so he doesn't have to engage in such public policy debates. The Nevada Democratic Party already tried on Friday ("Where's Adam Laxalt?" was the release headline) to get him to take a stance on the bill.
The spot is part of a multi-state campaign by the DGA, focused on Medicaid expansion states, to push GOP candidates to take a position.
I doubt it works with Laxalt.

At The Nevada Independent, we spend our days monitoring government meetings so the public knows what’s happening behind the scenes, holding powerful institutions accountable, and helping you understand the issues that affect you.
In this critical election year, that mission is especially important.
In 2026, we’re closely watching state races, policy changes, and public accountability — so our community has accurate, trusted information when it matters most.
We’ve set a goal to raise $48,000 by April 24. Every gift moves us closer.
