Democrats' Senate Majority PAC ad hits Heller on health care

Focus: Sen. Dean Heller, a Republican, who is running for re-election to the U.S. Senate
Who’s paying for it: Senate Majority PAC (SMP), which is focused on winning control of the Senate for Democrats
Size of buy: SMP said the buy is part of their 7-figure previously placed reservation in the state
When it starts: Oct. 1
Where it’s running: Statewide
The gist: The 30-second ad hits Heller on his decision last year to vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which, in a break with GOP leaders, he previously had said he would not do. “But then Donald Trump threatened Dean Heller,” the ad said. It quotes Trump saying “Look, he wants to remain a Senator doesn’t he,” with the Nevada Republican sitting to Trump’s right. The ad concludes with “Dean Heller broke his promise, and caved to Donald Trump.”
