The 287(g) program is an agreement between local law enforcement and federal agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to work together, such that local law enforcement officers play a role in enforcing federal immigration law.

Reporter Michelle Rindels breaks down just how Nevada law enforcement agencies — including local jails — work with ICE through the sometimes controversial 287(g) program, from the time of an arrest to a potential deportation.
