Introducing The Nevada Independent's 2026 voter guide

Though the June 9 primary feels far away, our voter guide has detailed information on candidates and election procedures.

June 9 — Nevada's 2026 primary Election Day — still feels far away. But some Nevadans may already be casting their ballots.

The state's absentee voting system — which serves active-duty military, tribal members, people with disabilities and others — had to be up and running last week.

That's why we've officially launched our 2026 voter guide. Over the last few weeks, our team has been compiling information on everyone from the well-known candidates to the people you've never heard of to create this sleek database of some 350 people running for office.

Right now, we're sharing brief bios and links to campaign websites for statewide, legislative and major races in Clark and Washoe counties. We've also got a super-handy FAQ page with dates to remember so you don't miss your chance to get a mail ballot, early vote or Election Day vote in.

And of course, you'll find all the stories we've been doing about the primary — especially our ongoing pre-primary race preview series where we're zeroing in on the most newsworthy contests on the June ballot.

But it's just a start. We plan to eventually add more races, information and links to additional recommended reading on the candidates.

What do you think? What else would you like to see? Notice anything that's off? Send us a message at [email protected].

Creating resources such as the voter guide takes a lot of time, but we hope they help you make better decisions and speed up your research before you cast your ballot. Thanks for reading and supporting The Indy
