Northern Nevada developers, including brothel owner, to host fundraiser for Heller

The two major Northern Nevada developers who own the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center are holding a campaign fundraiser for Republican Sen. Dean Heller later this month.
Lance Gilman and Don Roger Norman, the two principal developers behind the industrial park that houses the Tesla Gigafactory, are listed as hosts for the Sept. 28 fundraiser supporting Heller, widely considered the most vulnerable Senate Republican up for re-election.
The invitation obtained by The Nevada Independent doesn’t list the location of the fundraiser, but states suggested contribution levels of $500, $1,000 and the maximum federal limit of $2,700.
Gilman, who is also a brothel owner and member of the Storey County Commission, has supported Heller in past campaigns. Earlier this year, Heller helped push the U.S. Treasury Department to reverse itself and designate Storey County as an “Opportunity Zone,” a designation established to give economically-distressed areas millions of dollars in federal benefits.
Gilman and Norman also hosted an August fundraiser for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Steve Sisolak, and are hosting a similar fundraiser for Reno mayoral candidate Eddie Lorton in early October.
Disclosure: Lance Gilman and Steve Sisolak have donated to The Nevada Independent. You can see a full list of donors here.
