Timeline: Sisolak's four years as Nevada governor

Steve Sisolak made history in 2018 by becoming the first Democrat to win the Nevada governor's race in more than two decades.
During his tenure, he led the state through an unprecedented pandemic, oversaw the passage of legislation that expanded opportunities to vote, took measures to protect abortion rights and guided the state through a financially tenuous position into a period of record-breaking tax revenue, among other actions.
He also faced criticism for his mandates aimed at mitigating the spread of COVID-19 and problems that emerged within the state's unemployment system as it experienced record-shattering claims numbers. In November, he narrowly lost a re-election bid.
