Three key races in Nevada — including a seat in the Senate and two in the House — may prove decisive as Republicans seek to gain and Democrats fight to keep control of a bitterly divided House and Senate.

Nevada's incumbent Democrats padded their campaign war chests through the second quarter, with Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto and Rep. Susie Lee leading their respective fields.

Nielsen spoke on the record to The Wall Street Journal for an article widely seen as precipitating Steve Wynn's downfall, telling reporters that "everybody was petrified" of Wynn's behavior but "nobody was there to help us." Wynn later sued him for defamation.
