Career hub in Vegas seeks to tackle high youth unemployment with virtual reality

Ford joins 22 other attorneys general in urging Supreme Court to uphold eviction moratorium

In their amicus brief, the attorneys general argued that the moratorium should remain in place because eliminating the ban would "irreparably harm the states," Ford's office said. The attorneys general added in the brief that with roughly half of U.S. adults still unvaccinated and children under the age of 12 still ineligible to receive the vaccine, removing the ban could cause cases to surge across the country.

Homeschool rate leaps in Nevada during the pandemic

The pandemic drove a more than 10 percent increase in the number of Nevada households homeschooling their children, which was one of the largest leaps nationwide, according to data recently released by the U.S. Census Bureau.

Report: Nevada's share of federal grants remained low in 2020

A new report by the Guinn Center for Policy Priorities released Wednesday highlights Nevada's paltry ranking — the state ranked a lowly 45th in the nation in federal grants per capita in the 2020 fiscal year. Nevada also ranks 42nd on formula grants per capita (grants prescribed by law or administrative regulation, such as Medicaid) and 43rd in federal project grants per capita (which are competitively awarded).
