Araujo launches first ads highlighting background in Secretary of State bid

SHARE

Focus: Democratic Secretary of State candidate Nelson Araujo

Who’s paying for it: Araujo’s campaign

Size of buy: Around $320,000

When it starts: Oct. 9

Where it’s running: Reno

The gist: Araujo’s first two ads of the general election are largely positive and seek to highlight the Democratic assemblyman’s background. The first of the two ads, “32 Years,” features Araujo’s mother getting ready for work as a housekeeper while he cites his background as the first member in his family to graduate from college.

The second ad, “Paper,” features multiple people voting and holding sample ballot as Araujo pledges to “protect your right to vote.”  Both ads come after Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske posted her first ad last week.
