SHARE

Focus: Latino voter outreach, especially in relation to federal elections

Who's paying for it: Mi Familia Vota, a national organization focusing on voter registration among Latino communities

Size of Buy: Part of a nationwide six-figure ad buy by Spanish-language media outlets, including Univision and Fusion.

Where's it running: The ads will be targeted to Texas, Nevada, Arizona, Florida, Colorado and California, with additional advertising on national platforms.

When it starts: Oct. 9

The gist: Mi Familia Vota is releasing four ads aimed at increasing voter registration and turnout, with two in Spanish and two in English. The two Spanish-language ads feature longtime Univision anchor-turned independent journalist Maria Elena Salinas, who in one ad implores Latino voters to register to vote because "we cannot let others decide for us." In the other, asks the viewer if they "want to change laws that do not seem right" before asking them to "use your power," and "use your vote."

The two English ads feature actor and MFV board member Diane Guerrero encouraging Latinos to register to vote, saying it is "critical" that Latino voters are engaged this election cycle and criticizing the Trump Administration for "prioritizing corporate gains" over the environment.
