Rosen accepts Heller challenge to compare records on health care in new ad

Focus: Democratic Rep. Jacky Rosen and her opponent, Republican U.S. Sen. Dean Heller
Who's paying for it: Rosen’s campaign
Size of buy: Part of the campaign’s ongoing seven-figure buy
When it starts: Sept. 17
Where it's running: Statewide
The gist: Heller, in a recent ad pushing back on Rosen’s health-care focused attacks, challenged that he would “stack [his] record up against [Rosen’s] any day.” In this new 30-second ad, Rosen, directly addressing the camera, says, “Okay, let’s do that.”
“Dean, you broke your promise. You voted to let insurance companies discriminate against people with pre-existing conditions, charge older people more, and take away coverage from 200,000 Nevadans,” Rosen says in the ad, referring to his vote to open up debate on repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act last summer and another vote in 2011 to repeal the federal health-care law altogether. “Dean, I’m standing up for Nevada. You’re not.”
