Focus: Republican Sen. Dean Heller

Who’s paying for it: Heller’s campaign

Size of buy:  Undisclosed

When it starts: Oct. 2, 2018

Where it’s running: Statewide

The gist: Term-limited Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval — one of the most popular governors in the country — makes a direct on-camera pitch for Heller and touts his bipartisan credentials including crossing party lines to pass the Violence Against Women Act.

“He’s been a tireless champion for our veterans,” Sandoval says. “Anyone who tells you something different is wrong.”

Democratic groups and Heller’s 2018 opponent, Democratic Rep. Jacky Rosen, have prominently featured footage of Sandoval in campaign ads of their own. Heller and Sandoval held a joint press conference last year announcing their opposition to the Senate-led revision of the Affordable Care Act, though Heller later voted for an amended version of the bill.
