Focus: U.S. Sen. Dean Heller

Who’s paying for it: Heller’s campaign

Size of buy:  The Heller campaign did not respond to a question about the size of the buy

When it starts: Oct. 26

Where it’s running: The Heller campaign did not respond to a question about where the ad is running

The gist: Gov. Brian Sandoval, a well-liked moderate, stars in his second 30-second campaign commercial for Heller, titled “What Matters,” in an attempt to boost the Republican senator’s support among moderates and nonpartisans. In the ad, Sandoval says that “people say a lot in campaigns” but “it comes to who gets the job done for Nevada.”

“Period. It’s not what you say in campaign commercials. It’s what you do,” Sandoval says. “I trust Dean Heller. And I’m voting for Dean Heller because Dean delivers for Nevada and he’s earned our trust and that’s what matters.”
