Focus: Democratic Clark County Commissioner and gubernatorial candidate Steve Sisolak

Who's paying for it: Fighting for Nevada, a super PAC funded by Station Casinos, Zuffa, the Nevada Subcontractors Association PAC and Home Depot co-founder Bernard Marcus

Size of buy: The super PAC has placed $1.2 million in ad reservations

When it starts: Oct. 23

Where it's running: The super PAC has placed reservations statewide

The gist: Two new 15-second ads paid for by Fighting for Nevada say that Sisolak "will cost you too much."

One of the spots says Sisolak “loves higher taxes,” displaying a list of taxes and fees it says he has supported raising that are “hurting hardworking Nevadans like you” including sales taxes, property taxes and gas taxes. “Now Sisolak wants to raise taxes even more,” the ad says.

A second spot says student tuition more than doubled when Sisolak was on the Board of Regents and that tuition and fees increased more than a dozen times. "Steve Sisolak isn't looking out for Nevada's students and families," the ad says.
