Wes Duncan launches background-heavy, first general election campaign ad

Focus: Republican attorney general candidate Wes Duncan
Who's paying for it: Duncan's campaign
Size of buy: Unknown
When it starts: Sept. 12
Where it's running: Reno
The gist: Duncan's first general election ad is heavy on his professional and military background, including his deployment in Iraq as an Air Force judge advocate and his time as a prosecutor with the Clark County district attorney's office.
The ad also states that Duncan is the only attorney general candidate to be endorsed by "Nevada sheriffs," and states on screen that 16 sheriffs have endorsed him. He's actually been endorsed by sheriffs in all 17 counties, but said in July that he would no longer campaign or tout the endorsement of embattled Storey County Sheriff Gerald Antinoro, who has been the subject of at least 10 complaints of sexual harassment, discrimination or wrongful termination since entering office in 2010.
