Almost all the GOP candidates running for the Legislature or Congress in Nevada are not running on election integrity. In 2022, the GOP nominees for key statewide races echoed election conspiracies.

The spotlight's on Nevada as residents prepare to vote in races for president, U.S. Senate, and 52 legislative seats that will determine the governor's veto power.

Though somewhat overshadowed by the presidential race, Rosen and Nevada's three House Democrats have continued to raise money at a similar pace to the 2022 election cycle — a record-setting midterm in Nevada for election spending.

Republican U.S. Senate candidates gathered in Reno Thursday night to debate who among them would be the best challenger to take on Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV) in November — and took shots at the elephant not in the room, front-runner and retired Army Capt. Sam Brown.

Marchant, a prominent election denier and fervent Trump supporter, has framed the race as "MAGA vs. establishment," a reference to the institutional support for Brown, who has declined to endorse Trump.

Even months out from the election, Bolger noted that this type of early polling "makes it easier for the [leading] candidate to raise money [and] makes it harder for other candidates to raise money and attract support."

Across the state's four congressional districts, Reps. Susie Lee (D-NV) and Steven Horsford (D-NV) led the way in fundraising, bringing in nearly $583,000 and $668,000, respectively.

He also re-emphasized similar positions to his 2022 run, tying excessive government spending to inflation, arguing for smaller government through less taxes and fewer regulations and affirming that he is "pro life."

Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV) raised $2.7 million in the second quarter of 2023, leaving her with $7.5 million in cash on hand going into the second half of the year — a state record for money in the bank at this point, according to her campaign.

No presidential candidates attended the event, and U.S. Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV) was the only statewide elected official in attendance.
