Obama, Biden coming to Vegas to rally Democrats as early voting begins

Former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden are rallying for Democrats in Las Vegas as early voting begins for high-stakes Nevada races, according to a source with the Nevada State Democratic Party.
Obama is scheduled to headline a rally next Monday afternoon at UNLV’s Cox Pavilion, while Biden is planning to promote Democratic candidates at the Culinary Union on Saturday morning. Early voting begins Saturday and runs for two weeks.
The trip marks the first public visit to Nevada by Obama since he left the presidency in 2016. Former First Lady Michelle Obama headlined a voter registration rally in Las Vegas last month.
Democrats including gubernatorial candidate Steve Sisolak, U.S. Senate candidate Jacky Rosen and U.S. Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto are expected to attend the event.
The trip comes as President Donald Trump is also preparing a trip to the state on Saturday, heading to the rural community of Elko for a campaign rally.
Races for Senate and governor are polling within the margin of error.
