Vice President Mike Pence is heading to Nevada next month for a fundraising event benefiting one of the most endangered Republicans up for re-election in 2018 — Sen. Dean Heller.

According to an invitation provided to The Nevada Independent and other media outlets, Pence will appear at a lunch benefiting a joint fundraising committee supporting Heller on April 13 in Las Vegas. Tickets for a photo reception with the vice president run for $10,000, while the price to get into the lunch is $1,000 per person.

Contributions from the event will go to the Heller Senate Victory Committee, a joint fundraising committee consisting of Heller’s Senate campaign, his “HellerHighwater” leadership PAC, the Nevada Republican Party and the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

President Donald Trump told congressional Republicans at a closed-door meeting last month that he would try to visit Nevada to support Heller, who is facing a primary challenge from conservative businessman Danny Tarkanian, sometime in the next few months. Heller distanced himself from Trump during the 2016 election, but has been a staunch supporter of many administration policies, namely the tax overhaul bill passed in December, since the election.

Pence most recently visited Nevada in January, stopping at two Air Force facilities along with Heller and gubernatorial candidate Adam Laxalt.
