Susie Lee challenges Danny Tarkanian to two televised debates in House race

Democratic congressional candidate Susie Lee has proposed two televised debates with her opponent in a swingy Southern Nevada House district.
Lee wants to face off with Republican nominee Danny Tarkanian in hourlong debates between Oct. 1 and Oct. 19, a time "when voters are most engaged with the campaign but before early voting begins," her campaign said Friday.
She wants at least one of the debates to be hosted or co-hosted by a Spanish-language TV network, and said the debates should be moderated by "qualified journalists with experience moderating general election debates in Nevada."
Lee's campaign also took a few jabs at Tarkanian, who lost a bid for the same seat in the last election cycle, in their debate proposal.
"While Susie Lee has spent her career rolling up her sleeves and getting real results for families in our community, Danny Tarkanian has spent his time helping to set up shady telemarketing scams, getting bailed out by taxpayers to the tune of $16 million for failed business schemes, endlessly running losing political campaigns, and raising a constant series of ethical questions in his financial dealings," the campaign said.
