Ross Armstrong, the executive director of the commission, said people — namely government officials — may not be aware of the resources the board provides to demystify ethics laws and ensure they are in compliance with the laws.
The Nevada Commission on Ethics voted to censure and fine Gov. Joe Lombardo $20,000 for using his Clark County Sheriff uniform and badge while the Republican was running for governor in 2022.
Attorneys for the governor have vehemently pushed back against the commission attorney's legal analysis that cited Lombardo for 34 distinct violations of two state ethics statutes, for a total of 68 violations.
